List It Live tours 700 W E St., San Diego with Martin Correia

[00:17] HOST: You’re watching List It Live here on Facebook live we’ll give you a guided tour of the hottest homes for sale in San Diego and the next one is in downtown with Martin Correia. What’s that brother?

[00:26] MARTIN: What’s happened in my man? Good seeing you, thank you so much. I appreciate it.

[00:29] HOST: Yeah, you got a beauty here

[00:30] MARTIN: Yeah, we do. I’m really excited and you know, I’ll tell you, there’s a little historia to this. So being born and raised in San Diego and you’re like, I’m selfishly a gloating because, uh, my moniker, San Diego’s Favorite Son. And this has history. This has history because it’s in the old SDGE building.

[00:47] HOST: Oh really?

[00:48] MARTIN: It is. It is.

[00:49] HOST: Okay. I know where that is.

[00:51] MARTIN: So it’s, it’s amazing.

[00:52] HOST: This is Columbia…

[00:54] MARTIN: Right, right. So right off, right off Columbia, right there. Just, they would call the Columbia Marina district right there. Um, what’s great is Bosa did an amazing job on the lobby. A million plus just spent on the lobby and the finishes, the furniture. It is elegant and we’ll see some pictures later. But talk about capturing little history, being able to tell the story, being as high on the 37th floor,

[01:19] HOST: 37th floor…

[01:20] MARTIN: 37th floor, my man.

[01:21] HOST: Oh my god. Is this actually a shot from the unit?

[01:24] MARTIN: This is, this is right from the unit. I mean, it’s no joke.

[01:28] HOST: That’s bonkers.

[01:29] MARTIN: Yep. Yep. You’re looking right straight out and point Loma my hood and I see everybody. It’s also because it’s a, it’s a west to northwest facing views. So you’re also capturing the planes land and of course that’s what I love is seeing this picture right here because it’s a different landscape. Again, you’re talking about 5:30, 6:00 at night depending on the year. Great for kicking back and entertaining. Having that glass of wine and being able to just get away from the TV. Go look outside at San Diego

[01:58] HOST: Yeah, look at it. It’s just crazy how high you are right here. Like if you look down at that building, it’s like 10 stories just dwarfing it.

[02:06] MARTIN: Right, right. Absolutely.

[02:16] MARTIN: It’s, it’s, so, you know, I’m, I’m glad you brought that up because I think unfortunately, sometimes in our reality or community, we tend to forget to say the value of the pool location. So the proximity of this pool is south southwest. Why does that matter? Because it’s going to get sun 12 months of the year. You know, when you think about it, a lot of these high-rises, beautiful as they are, don’t get the sun.

[02:16] MARTIN: It’s, it’s, so, you know, I’m, I’m glad you brought that up because I think unfortunately, sometimes in our reality or community, we tend to forget to say the value of the pool location. You know, when you think about it, a lot of these high-rises, beautiful as they are, don’t get the sun.

[02:39] HOST: That’s true.

[02:40] MARTIN: I’m a pool guy. I’m an outside guy, you know, I love to get out there and this matters to me and so it’s really important. I’m so glad you brought that up, thank you.

[02:48] HOST: Yeah, look at. I mean, it’s beautiful. It’s gorgeous. I mean, tons of space there, huge pool and as we go to the interior of this unit, man, it is dialed in.

[02:56] MARTIN: It’s amazing. It really is amazing. It’s perfect for entertaining. It’s clean. Um, the finishes are perfect. I think that’s, you know, again, that’s Bosa. I’m a, I’m a big fan of Bosa buildings. You have to, you know, they’ve done a great job. I love the influence they brought on uh, again, capturing the history of, of SDGE, they were smart and doing so. I think that makes it a great story. Uh, you know, this is the type of living that’s very simple, very clean. If it’s a second home, maybe an option, it’s very, very easy to just come in, plug and play.

[03:31] HOST: Yep. Everything’s done for you. You got these amazing views. Windows just everywhere in this unit. So I mean, no matter where you are in here, you’re seeing something amazing…

[03:40] MARTIN: Amazing, amazing. And I always say again, reiterate the landscape at 5:30, 6:00 is completely different. Completely different. Matter of fact, the building, if you can look through the windows right there, that’s what we call the Philip head building because a lot of the buildings in San Diego of course you may know are different types of tools and the set and that’s one of them. So it’s kinda cool.

[04:00] HOST: That is cool. Yeah. And this is a big living, open living space here. The fireplace is a nice sweet touch

[04:07] MARTIN: And you know that they’re not building fireplaces anymore in future development.

[04:10] HOST: I know, I know

[04:10] MARTIN: So, this is really something to be cherished.

[04:13] HOST: Very, very rare now. And uh, really cool open set up there. And then I believe this is the master here?

[04:19] MARTIN: So this is actually uh, again, another situation where it’s a split master, um, each master, or excuse me, each bedroom has its own balcony. Again, that’s also very unique. So this one is overlooking the north, the northwest facing view. Um, beautiful. Just clean, nice size, um, you can tell it’s kind of my Austin Powers kind of swanky kind of interior. You know I’m all about it right? And it’s just a really. It’s got a good jam.

[04:49] HOST: Yeah, love it. And you also have views, you know, just pouring right in there. Natural light coming in as well. Nice big master style bath,

[04:58] MARTIN: Yeah, master styled bath and also great for the handicap. Um, and, and I think that’s important. So it really serves the whole community without a doubt.

[05:06] HOST: Here’s the other bedroom also really good size. And they had that, uh, that deck again, right off of it. Are those 10 foot ceilings or are they 11?

[05:16] MARTIN: Yeah, 10 foot – 10 foot. And that’s throughout most of the, uh, unit, except when you first walk in, it’s got a very long hallway, uh, which is very dramatic. It’s really nice. Instead of walking right into a unit and ‘Oh hey, I’m in the kitchen. Where’s my coffee?’ It’s walking and very dramatic if you can’t tell, I’m into that. But, it’s, it’s all right.

[05:37] HOST: And you’ve got the in-unit laundry here as well. We holding this one open Martin?

[05:42] MARTIN: You know, as in a lot of high rises, it’s very difficult to do. And so it San Diego’s Favorite Team. We love to personally take those that are interested in and hand hold them and give them the experience that they deserve. You know, a building like this, you’re not just selling the unit, you’re selling the development, uh, the amenities, the location. This is a 10 plus all day long. Uh, we know that the, the future of the Marina district is, is rocketing with…it’s very bright, right? I wish I had my sunglasses. I mean, it is really bright. So appreciation, value. I want to keep reemphasizing. This is a value driven type product. A home. You’re looking at almost 1400 square feet – at this price? Can’t beat it.

[06:28] HOST: That’s crazy. You’re not going to get that. I mean they’re not building it for less than that. That’s for sure. And especially on 37th floor with those views that you have. It’s just bonkers. Well, it’s an awesome listing man and I really appreciate you taking the time to come down to share with us today. It was great.

[06:40] MARTIN: Thank you so much, you and the crew. Appreciate it.

[06:43] HOST: Absolutely. Thank you so much. You too brother. That is a sick spot. An old SDGE building downtown. 37th floor, two bedroom. This is a dual master setup here. Um, which is great for, you know, maybe a roommate situation or whatever it may be. You have guests come in, a single professional, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, 1389 on the square footage. Very difficult to do open houses in these high rises. So it’s private showings only. They’re only asking one point two nine nine on this one um on the 37th floor with those insane views in the Columbia district, which as he mentioned, has a very bright future. Tens of millions, I think even maybe billions of dollars being put down in there into Seaport Village in that area.
