09 Dec Pacific Beach: Day 4 of 12 Days of San Diego Neighborhoods
Day 4 of 12 Days of San Diego Neighborhoods in Pacific Beach
Martin: Hey everybody. San Diego’s favorite Son. We are here at Belmont Park here in Pacific beach. And Kira Kennedy – listen to the music.
Kira: Hello, It’s beautiful.
Martin: Right? I think it’s Christmas. I feel Christmas.
Kira: It definitely feels like Christmas.
Martin: I hope they feel Christmas because we’re on the fourth day of “12 Days of Neighborhoods for Christmas” here in San Diego. And so being in Belmont, we’re going to talk a little bit about Pacific Beach, right? And of course one of the great things that’s been happening in Pacific Beach, especially in this little area; but a lot of development, a lot of redevelopment. Mission Bay Elementary – knocked down, putting in a brand new development, park. It really needed it. Even when you look at this, boy, I don’t know about you, Kira. This is so different than what I remember.
Kira: It’s like a Wonderland here.
Martin: It really is. It is an amazing Wonderland. And we’re going to take a look, but we want to talk a little more about a little, you know, “R.E.” – little real estate. Kira, what do you got?
Kira: Yeah. So some market stats about Pacific Beach, uh, the average price of a home is about $1.3million. Average days on market is 35 days. The median age here is a little younger than what we’ve been talking about: 33. So it’s a really young, fun vibe here. Um, the average household income, it’s about $80,000.
Martin: That’s amazing. It just says a lot. You know, it’s also the home of a lot of, of course, based vacation rental. A lot of discussion about the allowances. Cutting back on what has already been a traditionally allowed type of a way of, uh, investment properties. But you know, Hey look it, we’ve talked enough. I want you to just take a quick gander on over here. Come with me Kira. Come on, cause everybody else has got us see all of what is taking place right here. It’s just amazing. This place – brings your kids, come by yourself, bring a big appetite because everything looks amazing, right?
Kira: Yeah definitely.
Martin: All right. Hey, thank you everybody so, so much for stopping by.
Kira: Make it a great day everybody.
Martin: Bye now.
